Banasura Hill

The serene beauty of Wayanad district in Kerala is home to Banasura Hills, which is relatively unknown to hikers and nature enthusiasts. As a traveler, I can say that my trek to this beautiful peak was both strenuous and satisfying. The path is filled with dense forests, meadows, streams as well as captivating views of the Banasura Sagar Dam and the mists covered hills. It cools down at the summit, which is approximately 2,061 meters above sea level, but the clean air and expansive views while standing on the peak makes the effort completely worth it. Those who enjoy solitude along with untouched beauty of nature will certainly want to check out Banasura Hill. Be sure to pack enough water and food along with sturdy shoes to withstand the trek and don’t forget to start early, as the sunrise from the summit is breathtaking.
